Microsoft office doesn't open due to change in registry. What should I do ?

I was using a freeware called spybot-search %26 destroy. After I used it I rebooted my computer.I tried to open outlook, it asked me if I should change a registry value because of some error. The buttons were not visible only the upper portions were, so I clicked on the left one and the registry changed due to which entire microsoft office doesn't open. I checked the excludes directory of spybot and got the following

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\... reg_run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\W... reg_run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\W... Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background

back up directory is empty. There are many other directories. I dont know where to look into. Is there a way out in the registry editor. My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Micr... ,most are empty

You will probably need to re-install office. You are seeing specific entries, but Office sets hundreds. Never change anything on the registry without doing a backup of it first.

Better make the restore to a previuos date
Your problem requires quick action to a nearby computer specialist that may cost you or you may have to get pushy and email directly (where it says on the website, contact us,) Microsoft people even if you have to direct a personal POSTAL letter to Bill Gates and tell them what happened. Remember what those Harry Potter books told us. "Anything is possible if you have nerve enough" and I have learned that that is very true. Your question was very polite but urgent and I suggest you use the same approach to Microsoft , the company directly, google should give you an address, OR to any respectable and licensed computer technician. Please stay calm and remember to have a wonderful Christmas. I wish you luck but you may not need it as this is the season of magic and miracles . Happy Holidays.
Clean up your registry with Microsoft's Live OneCare Cleanup Scan. And leave the registry editing alone. You have no idea what to tinker with.
